Neighbourhood groups involve whole families . The groups’ aim is that local communities of believers grow together and are empowered to share and demonstrate the good news of Jesus with their neighbours. The structure of each group will vary but will be based on hospitality, learning from the Bible, worship, prayer and exercising spiritual gifts.

We have a vision for twelve Neighbourhood Groups across Hattersley (see map). Currently we have three groups up and running. If you would like more information about what’s going on in your neighbourhood please contact one of the leaders:

Camborne – Jim & Gemma Solomon
Melandra – Michael & Sylvia Garry
Pinfold – Jez Smith

LG area mapLife groups are about responding to Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:19 to make disciples.

They are the building blocks of our church and are formed by a minimum of 2 people of the same sex who are preferably at a similar stage of life. The group meet regularly as friends to encourage each other to read the Bible, inspire a close walk with God, support each other and pray for others to come to know Jesus.

For pointers on running a Life group download the attached card and stick it in your Bible!

BBQ 13 May

Weather permitting we are having a barbeque after church about 1pm on Sunday 13th May at Jez's house (14 Hattersley Road East - opposite Pinfold Primary School).  Please come along with your friends and if you're able bring something to stick on the barbie!

We meet on Sunday mornings at Pinfold Primary School, Hattersley at 10:30am.

Hattersley Community Church is a place where everyone's welcome, nobody's perfect and all things are possible.

At our services we worship God, learn from His word and are open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

There is time at the end of the service for fellowship and friendship, with refreshments served at the back of the church.

Steakhouse is a Bible study based on R. T Kendall's study notes "Understanding Theology vol 1-3."  It is held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at Mottram Evangelical Church (Stalybridge Roiad, Mottram, SK14 6NF).  Coffee and tea are served at 6.30pm and the study starts sharp at 7pm. We finish on the dot at 8.30pm when you are free to leave or stay around to talk or pray with the course leaders if you wish.

Please check the church calendar to confirm dates.  You can access the study notes for this event by registering for a user account (via the "Access" tab) and once logged in going to the sermons section of the site. Please contact Peter Cripps for more information.

jez

Join Jez Smith and others to make music together. This is a time of fun and fellowship with lunch thrown in. All are welcome to take part, you do not need special musical skills. If you can sing, do so, if you play an instrument, bring it, if you can get up and jig around thats fine, if you just want to talk and listen, that's ok as well. This is not a rehearsal, it has nothing to do with music on Sunday mornings, it is just a simple time of fellowship together. It is open to anybody of any age, any background and you do not have to be a church member or a Christian to come along and join us, but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Praying

Prayer, talking to God is central to everything we believe. We have a God who answers prayer. Prayer is at the heart of everything we do and through prayer we encounter the Holy Spirit and receive his guidence. We gather together to pray on a regular basis throughout the week at a rang of times to suit everybody. You are welcome to join us in prayer, please check the church calendar for details of times and venues.

14Ministry Teams

We encourage those who are part of our fellowship to grow through the use of their gifts in the service of God and others. There are always varied opportunities for people to get involved with both on Sundays and throughout the week. Being a part of a ministry team is a good way of making church feel like home. If interested in volunteering please speak to one of the Church Leaders.
